At Château de La Messardière in St Tropez, Larry Walshe conceived a contemporary wedding design that celebrated the romance of the Côte d’Azur while embracing a refined, modern sensibility. The ceremony unfolded on a sculptural white platform overlooking the Mediterranean landscape, where layered floral installations created an immersive garden effect.
Abundant arrangements of blush, cream, and soft lavender blooms—primarily garden roses, ranunculus, and delicate seasonal textures—cascaded across architectural plinths, forming a floral altar that felt both organic and intentional. The palette mirrored the surrounding scenery, with the pastel florals echoing the soft light of the Riviera and the pale sky meeting the sea in the distance.
For the reception, Larry Walshe Studios transformed the château’s garden terrace into a sophisticated alfresco dining experience. A dramatic serpentine table became the focal point of the design, winding gracefully through the space and adorned with a continuous runner of romantic florals that mirrored the ceremony palette. Round guest tables were interspersed to create rhythm and intimacy, each dressed with refined linens, delicate tableware, and sculptural glass candlelight. Towering white shelving structures filled with hundreds of glowing candles framed the dining area, adding vertical drama while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic that complemented the château’s elegant architecture.
