Larry Walshe conceived this contemporary wedding in Provence as a celebration of colour, light, and the effortless elegance of the South of France. Set within the manicured gardens of a Provençal estate, the design centred on a dramatic alfresco dining experience beneath rows of towering cypress trees.
A long banquet table dressed in soft sky-blue linens created a striking contrast against the lush greenery, while abundant floral arrangements in vivid shades of coral, fuchsia, saffron, lavender, and soft blue evoked the wild romance of summer gardens. Antique gold candelabras and tall taper candles in blush pink and powder blue added a refined layer of vertical drama, guiding the eye down the entire length of the table and establishing a sense of theatrical symmetry.
The floral design drew inspiration from the textures and colours of the Provençal landscape itself. Walshe combined garden roses, delphinium, allium, hydrangea, and seasonal foliage in loose, painterly arrangements that felt organic yet luxurious. Fruit elements such as grapes, artichokes, and figs were woven subtly into the tablescape, adding depth and a nod to the region’s abundant harvest. The surrounding reception areas echoed the same natural elegance: shaded cocktail spaces were adorned with baskets of flowers, herbaceous plants, and stone urns overflowing with greenery, creating a seamless transition between the estate’s architecture and the curated floral styling.
