Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte, Paris

At the magnificent Château de Vaux-le-Vicomte just outside Paris, Larry Walshe conceived a wedding design that felt both timeless and sculptural, drawing inspiration from the château’s grand symmetry and classical French gardens. The ceremony unfolded outdoors along a pristine white aisle framed with dense banks of ivory roses and deep green foliage, echoing the manicured hedges surrounding the estate.

At the altar, Walshe created a dramatic floral installation composed of sweeping arches of white roses layered with lush greenery, forming an elegant, almost architectural structure that mirrored the château’s domed silhouette behind it. The restrained palette of white and green allowed the historic setting to shine while creating a sense of effortless Parisian refinement.

Guests were welcomed through the gardens with carefully curated details that complemented the stately landscape. A crisp white bar adorned with delicate mouldings and overflowing arrangements of white blooms served refreshing drinks against the backdrop of the château’s grand façade. Every element was designed to feel harmonious with the estate’s classical beauty—from the soft gravel pathways to the sculpted topiary—ensuring the floral installations appeared as though they had naturally emerged from the gardens themselves. The aesthetic remained understated yet luxurious, celebrating texture, scale, and the quiet drama of thousands of pristine white roses.
