Chateau du Villette

At the storied Château du Villette just outside Paris, Larry Walshe conceived a wedding design that felt as though it had grown organically from the surrounding gardens. The ceremony unfolded along the château’s grand axial gardens, where rows of delicate white chairs framed a vista of manicured trees and classical stone fountains.

Towering urns overflowing with romantic florals—soft blush roses, creamy garden blooms, and trailing greenery—mirrored the natural abundance of the estate. The palette was intentionally restrained: ivory, pale pink, and fresh greens, allowing the architecture and landscape to remain the hero while the florals softened and elevated the scene.

For the reception, Walshe transformed a glass pavilion into a refined garden conservatory. Cascading garlands of ivy and foliage draped across the transparent ceiling structure, creating the illusion of dining beneath a canopy of living greenery. Long banquet tables and intimate rounds were dressed in textured linens and surrounded by classic cane-backed chairs, each table crowned with lush arrangements of romantic roses and delicate seasonal blooms. Topiary trees punctuated the room like sculptural elements, reinforcing the dialogue between indoors and out while candlelight flickered through glassware, bringing warmth to the airy, botanical setting.
