Hotel du Cap Ferrat, Nice

Perched above the shimmering Mediterranean at the legendary Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat, A Four Seasons Hotel, Larry Walshe conceived a wedding design that felt as though it had naturally grown from the Riviera landscape itself. The ceremony unfolded on a stone terrace overlooking the sea, where a soft powder-blue aisle runner—delicately patterned with botanical motifs—guided guests toward a raised platform framed by classical balustrades.

Monumental urns overflowing with verdant foliage and ivory blooms created a sculptural altar moment, echoing the surrounding gardens while framing the horizon beyond. The palette of soft greens, creams, and pale blues allowed the natural beauty of the Côte d’Azur to remain the star, while adding a sense of refined romance.

Walshe’s floral design embraced an intentionally abundant, garden-inspired aesthetic, layering delicate white roses, frothy seasonal blooms, and trailing greenery that appeared to cascade organically over stone architecture. The arrangements felt both grand and effortless, with lush compositions climbing urns, spilling over balustrades, and softening the ceremonial steps. This interplay between classical French architecture and untamed botanical movement created a feeling of timeless Riviera elegance—an atmosphere where the manicured gardens of the hotel blended seamlessly with the wild beauty of the Mediterranean coastline.
