Set high above the Côte d’Azur, Château Saint-Martin in Nice provided an idyllic canvas for a wedding design by Larry Walshe that celebrated the romance of the French Riviera landscape. Inspired by the surrounding gardens and Mediterranean light, the ceremony unfolded beneath a delicate wrought-iron pavilion enveloped in an abundance of flowers in soft coral, peach, blush and buttercream tones.
Dahlias, garden roses and airy meadow blooms were layered into sculptural installations that climbed the structure and cascaded down the steps, creating the feeling that the garden itself had blossomed into the architecture. Framed by cypress trees and climbing greenery, the setting felt both opulent and effortlessly natural, echoing the relaxed elegance of a Riviera summer.
The design continued through the grounds with intimate outdoor lounges nestled beneath ancient olive trees, where guests gathered among soft neutral furnishings accented with delicate floral posies. Walshe’s floral direction leaned into a painterly palette reminiscent of Impressionist gardens, combining delicate dahlias, pansies, ranunculus and wild textures to create arrangements that felt abundant yet organic. Tables were dressed with crisp white linens, sculptural stone vessels and golden candlelight, while elegant porcelain and glassware added refined European charm. Each arrangement appeared as though freshly gathered from a blooming garden, reinforcing the sense of effortless luxury that defined the celebration.
