Our client had recently hosted a wedding ceremony at the iconic Villa Balbiano in Lake Como, Italy for an intimate group of friends and family. They were keen to celebrate more widely upon their return home and asked us to work alongside production legends Bespoke Events London to create a Mediterranean inspired setting, perfect for a late summer wedding party.
Our clients wanted the celebration to be kept casual, with roving food stalls and passed hors d’oeuvres, great entertainment and a DJ who performed within a custom-created folly. Using an orangery marquee structure, they were keen to conjure a spirit of the garden, indoors.
Our London florists travelled to the heart of Yorkshire to work alongside the team at Bespoke Events London to create a glorious garden inspired design. Using a multitude of English cut foliage varieties alongside thousands of flowers in peach, pink, lilac and X tones, we saw rambling designs run over the metalwork of the orangery marquee, fall from the central feature bar and adorn each of the tables.
Using lots of texture and flower varieties, we created a scheme which took inspiration from the romantic Lake Como area in Italy, referencing the clients wedding ceremony at Villa Balbiano, and paired it against an English garden filled with mixed tones and shapes. Rambling ivy grew over a custom-built folly where guests danced the night away and across the marquee structure to offer a hugely romantic yet understated overall wedding design.
