THE
BRIEF

To create a romantic white wedding at Villa Balbiano in Lake Como, Italy.  Our bride and groom had had a negative experience with an Italian wedding designer and contacted us three weeks prior to their wedding celebration.  They had dreamed of hosting a multi-day wedding celebration in Lake Como and wanted their wedding to be a timeless, elegant and romantic affair.

Our bride new exactly what she wanted to create which was super helpful when designing with limited time.  Her vision for the wedding was a crisp white wedding ceremony, packed full of fresh flowers.  Guests would then move to the front of Villa Balbiano for aperitivo cocktails before motioning around to the glass orangery marquee next to the swimming pool.  Here, our bride and groom were keen to create an elegant garden inspired wedding setting filled with green and white flowers.

The Final Creation

We designed, created and installed wedding ceremony that can only be described as breath-taking.  Working along the Lake Como Wedding Planner, we designed the most beautiful and opulent white wedding design using thousands upon thousands of white gypsophila and white spray rose blooms.  Floral meadows ran along either side of the aisle whilst a pair of large and luxurious floral arches stood at the start and the end of the aisle.  Beautifully timeless, this white wedding provided the perfect backdrop against the iconic Lake Como, ensuring the most beautiful wedding photographs at every turn.

The wedding reception was held in a glass marquee adjacent to the swimming pool at Villa Balbiano.  The marquee was decorated with a garden inspired combination of Mediterranean foliage and crisp white flowers.

Floral designs climbed up and over the marquee structure to add impact and intimacy whilst dining tables supported large domed design of white and green flowers.  Long dining tables were scattered throughout; each had a floral runner which cascaded off the table to the floor below.

Vintage lace ceramic charger plates, watercolour menu cards and sage green candles were then added to offer a look which balanced the grandeur of Lake Como in a relaxed and approachable manner to ensure our bride and groom were given the wedding of their dreams.  Guests and family alike then partied the night away within the marquee, overlooking Lake Como as they celebrated.
