THE
BRIEF

We were tasked with designing and creating a piece which stands at the top of the stairs on the left hand side of the main hotel entrance and commanding a wonderful presence that will entice your guests and offer an interactive opportunity for all during the Chelsea in Bloom competition, Neptune’s Throne.

Carved by hand using skilled artisans, the throne and supporting side table will be crafted from a base of polystyrene to assume a strong silhouette which draws reference to coral in varying forms, stone & large shells. Carved and then rendered/painted in places using an “Under the Sea” inspired palette, the piece will then be punctuated and adorned softly using a textural combination of living mosses in varying varieties and fern plants that assume a seaweed inspired appearance.
