Venue Focus: Carlton House Terrace

{10-11} Carlton House Terrace is a building with two distinct personalities. The elegant reception hall of Number 10, with its bold stone walls and grand doorways, opens out into a sweeping black marble staircase that looks up three floors, past balconies and columns, into the building’s domed glass ceiling. In William Gladstone’s former home of Number 11, it is a more intricate English affair with a softer, delicate palette of whites, ivories and light blues. All in all this really is a treasure of a venue and completely unique, with amazing views over The Mall & St James’s Park, providing a perfect setting for your event. Lends itself as a perfect Wedding venue in Central London.

Entering the Music Room through a linking doorway, you move from Number 10 into Number 11. Here, you clearly witness the different characters of the two addresses.
Though the Music Room is an equally generous space to its neighbour, it is finished with a more delicate palette, with intricate white wall panelling and painted window blinds. Perfectly suited to both wedding ceremonies and receptions, filming and photoshoots.

The enormous bay windows of the Council Room overlook the garden square of {10-11} Carlton House Terrace to the front of Number 10, making this a grand, spacious room with lots of natural light. Its gardenia panelled walls are hung with royal guilt-framed period portraits in keeping with the ornate ceiling above. The Council room is one of the most popular rooms due to the heritage and the sheer classiness of the space, it is also licensed for civil marriage ceremonies and civil partnerships.
