Larry Walshe transformed the Ascent Lounge in New York into a sophisticated corporate Christmas celebration, drawing inspiration from the venue’s dramatic city views and its naturally glamorous interior. The design concept centered on warmth, richness, and an elevated festive atmosphere, using a palette of deep amber, gold, and burnished bronze tones that mirrored the glow of Manhattan at night.
Towering arrangements of golden berry branches created striking sculptural moments throughout the space, their abundant texture adding a sense of seasonal opulence while echoing the warmth of candlelight reflected across the lounge’s polished surfaces.
To complement the architectural elegance of the venue, Walshe layered lighting and décor to enhance the lounge’s existing ambiance. Long rows of lanterns and glass cylinders filled with glowing candles lined the expansive windows, framing sweeping views of the city skyline and creating a magical interplay between interior light and the sparkling night outside.
Plush seating areas were styled with small tables featuring delicate white floral arrangements and votive candles, offering intimate pockets where guests could gather while enjoying the festive atmosphere. Above, the lounge’s signature circular chandeliers shimmered softly, amplifying the golden tones that defined the event’s visual identity.
