Larry Walshe designed an immersive corporate Christmas celebration at the iconic The Pool in New York, transforming the venue into a warm, luminous winter spectacle. The design concept centred on a sophisticated palette of gold, champagne, and warm candlelight, creating a festive environment that felt both luxurious and inviting.
Towering Christmas trees adorned with shimmering ornaments and delicate lights framed the space, while a mirrored disco ball suspended above the central lounge cast sparkling reflections across the ceiling, adding a subtle sense of movement and glamour to the atmosphere.
The spatial design focused on layering textures and reflective surfaces to create depth throughout the room. Sculptural installations of oversized metallic spheres in gold and silver cascaded along staircases and clustered around focal points, creating a contemporary interpretation of traditional festive décor. At the heart of the space, a glowing central feature filled with candles and reflective ornaments acted as both a visual anchor and an intimate gathering point for guests. The warm architectural tones of The Pool complemented the rich metallic palette, allowing the décor to feel seamlessly integrated with the venue’s mid-century elegance.
