Cowdray House

Cowdray House is a spectacular country house surrounded by historic parkland including Cowdray Ruins. In close proximity to Goodwood and Cowdray Park Polo Club the house is on the outskirts of Midhurst and is within easy access of the A272.

Buck Hall with its barrel vaulted ceiling, minstrel’s gallery and splendid fireplace takes centre stage at the very core of the house and is ideally suited for entertaining. It can provide a seated wedding breakfast for up to 140 whilst the adjacent croquet lawn can host a marquee for up to 350 guests.

The elegant drawing room is one of three rooms which can be used for drinks receptions and other celebratory events. The main feature of the room is a magnificent carved marble fireplace. French doors lead to a croquet lawn and terrace, ideal for evening drinks in the Summer and has wonderful views to the South Downs.

As well as providing the perfect venue for weddings, country house parties and other celebrations, Cowdray House is available for corporate events and provides a perfect location for off-road driving activities and short & long term filming.

The venue may be enjoyed over the course of a day as well as for residential bookings. Sleeping 36, for weddings the bridal party can enjoy staying in the newly refurbished ensuite bedrooms which boast beautiful views across the gardens and the South Downs beyond.

Guests at Cowdray can enjoy polo, golf, clay pigeon, fly fishing and other country pursuits all of which are available on the extensive Estate. They can also learn to play polo during the summer months at the recently launched Polo Academy.
