To explore the rising trend of botany and develop a series of creative designs to bring London Design Week to life at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour. As part of the project, a large suspended installation piece should be designed to hang within the central atrium; this should be inspired by both botany and physics.
Design Centre Chelsea Harbour is the world’s premier destination for design and decoration excellence. Home to 120 showrooms and over 600 of the worlds’s most prestigious luxury brands, it was incredibly important that we achieve a creative a detail driven response to the brief.
Our floral designers transformed the whole of Design Centre Chelsea Harbour with a series of wildly botanical designs, each within hand painted smoked grey vases. The Tatler Bar featured large custom-fabricated terrarium frames that were filled to bursting with wildly organic botany inspired designs Taking centre stage in the Central Dome, an enormous aerial installation inspired by Newton’s Cradle. Captured in motion, a series of 5 giant Perspex sphere’s created by our scenic design team with a hand painted smoke finish that explored further the concept of dissipation and evolution, each piece was filled with an array of botany inspired planting. Custom created sculptures using key wallpapers from the current interior brands collections were then interwoven to draw inspiration on trends in anthropology and archaeology.
